Listserves part 2...

So I wake up at 3:30 this morning; my neck is cricked, one arm is totally dead, I'm lying in a weird "S" shape, sardined between my 18 month old and my hubby on the right, my 4 year old on the left, and at least one cat splayed across my ankles. And suddenly it hits me... I do enough blimmin'* mothering.

It's time for the chicks to roam free outside the nest. I'm not going to transfer my members all over to the new listserves one by one. I'll send them an email spelling out exactly what to do, and I'll resend it a bunch of times, but after that they are on their own. (I will keep both running for a few weeks - thanks Matt!) If I lose a few, so be it. I think chances are it's more likely I'll get a few people exploring the member-only side of the website who have not been there before. Besides, I can do a group email to all via the database later on just to check whether everyone is on the listserves who wants to be. They will all be able to opt in and out at will, anyway, gotta like that (given the bacn issue)...

On another note - Tempur-pedic - Best. Bed. Ever. I managed to extricate myself out of the family pretzel and sneak into the blissfully empty guest bed without even the cat noticing.
