A wee bit of mid-week fluff for you.
I got this Olivia book by Ian Falconer for Christmas. It's just a little book with a selection of quotes from various people.
But I really love the cover, with Olivia lying in bed, dreaming about being a trapeze artist (and red is my favorite color, brings me luck!) so I have it on my desk just beside my monitor screen; it makes me happy.
Here's an oldie but a goodie from the book:

I love the Olivia books! The drawings (and text, in the books that tell their own stories) have so much personality. I bet she'll have a blog when she grows up.

I wasn't familiar with the Olivia books but I will definitely make it a point to check them out now. I can say that as a former school teacher, some of the greatest wisdom I ever came across was within kids books. Thanks for sharing and reminding me to look in unusual places for unusual wisdom! You rock.
