OK, calling all y'all "young association professionals"!
Lauren, Lindy, Bob, Jamie and I have created a new Facebook group JUST FOR YOU.
Yes, you!
It's called YAP.
Network with your peers in the association/non-profit industry!
Meet cool people!
Talk about interesting association-related issues!
Host or attend YAP events!
Interact and experiment in social media with us!
Oh and by the way age is a state of mind. So anyone is welcome who thinks young, no matter what your real age might be ;)

This group has been created to replace the old ASAE young association professionals group, which will shut down soon, so we would have more freedom to do what we want, interact with everyone how we choose, market and brand ourselves freely, party like it's 1999, and experiment as much as we please with social media. We are only limited by our own ideas, so join now and participate! Do, make, learn... engage, read, write, argue, plan, experiment, innovate, socialize, network, make true friends in the association world...
Join now! Click on our logo to jump straight there. See you there!

Good luck with the new group, Maddie! Here at the Maryland Association of CPAs, we have experimented with a Facebook group for our young professionals as well (we call ours the New / Young Professionals Network, or NYPN), but haven't made much headway ... yet. Keep us posted about your progress!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to YAP the night away. It's not always easy to connect with other young professionals in the association world, since most of us are busy holding down the fort while our bosses head to the conferences. Now we have our own way of connecting, and that's a really good thing.
ReplyDeleteThank you for creating and marketing this group. I didn't get anything out of the YP from ASAE and I can't wait to see how this group will take off. Kudos to all!
