For ASAE members: Countdown to ASAE 2008

I'll post about this again later, I am sure, but just a quick head's up about ASAE's Annual Meeting in San Diego, August 16-19, since I had a few minutes to look through my pile of stuff about it and try to work out a little bit of a schedule for myself.

MADDIE'S TOP TEN THINGS TO PLAN TO DO AT ASAE 2008 (sort of in date order):

- Ummmm... haven't registered yet? tsk tsk! Check it out here. Flight? Check. Hotel? Check.

- Attend the bloggercon - come and hang out with me and the other association bloggers. I want to meet you if I haven't already, and it will be great to chat in person if I have! [CORRECTION - SUNDAY 1:30 pm]

- Accordingly, take part in the painted nails challenge or the goatee challenge

- Come to the social media lab - my session is on "Real Time Communications" (blogging and Twitter), with Associations Now's own Lisa Junker, [CORRECTION - MONDAY 2:30 pm] .

- I just came across "groups" in the ASAE database - if you join the "social media lab" group, you can discuss stuff in advance!

- I expect to see you at the THE PARTY OF THE YEAR, hosted by YAP [Monday night] - no excuses. I don't care how much of a lightweight you are or how you like to go to bed at 8 pm, you can come have one dance with me.

- Come to my Pecha Kucha session with Jeff de Cagna at the end [Tuesday 2:15 pm] - never heard of Pecha Kucha? Check out the concept here. It will be different and BIG FUN! I hope. When I'm not busy having a stress attack about it.

MOST IMPORTANTLY...

- Make sure you follow @asaecenter08 for the Twitter backchannel for all the gossip and meetups

- Bring a camera and upload your pics during the meeting to ASAE's flickr channel! Just join the group to be able to upload to it (or tag your own pics with asae2008 or something similar).

- Bring a video camera and take some vids! Submit good ones to PITV!
