Breaking News - the Social Media Club has just announced they have formed a 42-member board of directors to help shape their strategic direction. And check out who's on the Board! With so many heavy hitters in the room, this is one to watch.
SMC has free open membership. They are also on Facebook and Ning - Social Media Club, and they have a Social Media Club room on Friendfeed. They organize meetups around the country, and provide great events and discussion forums. Their purpose is to give all of us us a voice in the future evolution of the social media space, specifically with regards to creating standards and best practices for what is still a baby industry. I encourage anyone interested in social media to join and participate.
