LinkedIn finally launch searchable group directory

At last! As of this Friday June 11, you will be able to search for groups within the group directory on LinkedIn.

So, instead of emailing me to get this link to YAP, http://www.linkedin.com/e/gis/89337/4AD231609167, you will just be able to search for "YAP" and it will come up. Sweet! Now I just wish they would get rid of the annoying red tape where you have to wait for me to approve you... So irritating for all concerned.

Speaking of YAP, we're inviting a select group of our readers to beta-test our new groupsite, www.yapstar.org. We need you guys to play around with it, add some content, and let us know what features you'd like to see, before we roll it out to everyone. Check it out and let us know what you think. And yes, to everyone who has been asking, we will be hosting a super fabulous night out at ASAE's annual meeting in San Diego, probably on Sunday August 17, definitely late (10-ish until the last man (or woman) is down or until sunrise, whichever comes first), so everyone can come after all the official receptions and stuff going on.
