Somehow I threw my hat in the ring for the coveted and mysterious 42nd Board Member spot for the interim board for the Social Media Club. If you think I would be any good for this job, please vote for me.
I would like to think my blog speaks for itself but since no-one has that kind of time right now I thought I'd list just a few reasons why I might be a good addition to the group:
- my European flair, my Oriental spiciness and my DC street smarts
- I'm a true enthusiast and I get people excited about stuff
- I communicate easily with Boomer execs, cynical Gen-Xers like me, and Millennial young professionals and have a knack for bridging that gap
- I haven't served on a board but I deal with my associations' board of directors on a daily basis
- I'm also a "doer" and good at helping people "just get crackin'"
- I'm not afraid to stir the pot
- I'm creative and write about innovation and imagination
- I'm fun and I like to party
So you might be thinking, well none of this is any of the serious stuff involved with being on a Board, now is it, Mads! Well, yeah. True. But dude - you've got 41 heavy hitters on the board already who cover all those bases. And it looks like they have a ton of B2B, B2C and B2G people, and PR people, and Marketing people... but no-one representing the association/nonprofit side. Besides - personally, I think they need someone fun, kinda cute and super energetic. And that would be me.
So,if you agree, please vote for me! I really think I can add something a bit different to the mix.
Thank you!
