Is this a burning question for you? Well, you're in luck, Lindy and I had a think about this issue and wrote an article about it. Please check it out, rate, review if you can (you may need to be a member of ASAE to do that, but not to read it!)
The living bibliography is here.
Did we miss anything? Have anything to add to the bibliography? Let me know in the comments.
Besides, I like comments, especially from all you awesome people. Maybe asking really nicely will work too. : )

Sorry - can't resist meta-commenting on the article about how to get comments. Great article!
Greg
Happy to comply with a comment ... first great overall list. Would love to here your comments about the need for bloggers to reply to comments.
And of course wondering what your next article will focus on ... building subscribers?
Really great list! One tip, though, is to encourage people to post comments when they disagree with the blogger - so comments aren't just a cheering section.
Some bloggers ignore postings they don't agree with, hoping the item will sink to the bottom of the search engine pile.
Great article Maddie and Lindy. Maybe it's in there and I just didn't see it, but one good way to encourage comments (as with so many things in life)is simply to ask for them. Of course, you have to have the right "voice" for doing this - I think Michele Martin over at the Bamboo Project does a great job of this. As, of course, do both of you. - Jeff
