Lil' pile o' links

I haven't really done "quick picks" or "top ten latest links" or anything like that before (that I can remember, anyway, brain is a little fried after my strategic planning hell this week), and I usually share stuff in Google Reader which feeds out to my Facebook/Friendfeed/etc updates, but I have a few disparate goodies to share that I thought merited a post. Even if it's kinda random.

First things first - ooh nice Twitter redesign! It's cosmetic only... just for now though.

More on Twitter - TwitterGrader gives Twitter users some rankings. Completely pointless unless you care about this kiind of stuff, but I couldn't help but be pleased that I'm ranked 1,237th out of all top Twitter users... : )

Matthew Inman, superstar young designer, gives us some uber-cool RSS icons to use on our blogs and websites (this one's for Lindy!)

Next up - read this great interview with Holly Ross, ED of NTEN, on the Buzz Bin.

One to keep an eye on - Peggy Hoffman on the Chapter of the Future project. Here's the background.

Check out this interesting blog post from Advergirl on fundraising through social media

This one's making the rounds - Netsquared's Best (free) Sources to Get Social Media Audience Usage Research

As is this - RWW's Five ways to use Social Media to Reach People Who Don't Use Social Media

And finally, Nina Simon on Wikis: What, When, Why. I have been saving this to do a post on it but what the hell, Nina's such an awesome writer, why mess with the best! I'd like to write more about wikis and why they often don't work (short answer - because a) they are made too hard to navigate and b) we don't give people reasons/deadlines for putting content in), but my workload is out of control right now so this will have to wait.

So as you probably know, I am in the CAE Immersion Course this week (Monday-Wednesday) - hope to meet some cool people at our un-YAPpy hour for the occasion!) so I will probably not be blogging much - although I always say that and I always end up doing lots of blogging anyway. But just in case, I hope you find these links of interest and I hope there's enough there to keep you busy for a little while! Thanks, as always, for reading!

Thank you for these links Maddie!

I especially liked Advergirl's post on Fundraising and Social Media, got the mental juices flowing. Always a good thing.
