Forget Basecamp, try Huddle. We tried setting up a Basecamp account for our new SocialFish work, and it just wasn't really cutting it, and I was a little irked with paying my $49 a month - then we discovered Huddle, which is a totally free project management site (free unless you need an enterprise version, unlike Basecamp where we had to pay just to get enough project space). It's cleaner, simpler, just plain easier to use.
And now, whoo hoo! They are a featured application on the new LinkedIn Apps. What does that mean? It means you can now share a workspace with your LinkedIn contacts. Nice one!

Do you actually use this LinkedIn feature? I think I don't need it. My LinkedIn connections are mostly my so-called weak ties. I don't usually do business with most of them, it's just nice to say connected to a person you once met at some conference. We are currently using this system and we try to involve our third parties into it. However, sometimes it can be hard to do. The reason is, they are not used to the app, no matter how easy to use it is.
