Check this out - it's Intel's social media policy/guidelines for employees. I would reprint some of it, but the whole thing is toally awesome.
If you need to develop some for your own organization, I'd use this as a model - in fact, if anyone has specific ideas about modifying this to be more association-specific, please feel free to leave me some comments, and together we can create a really good association model for us to use.
[UPDATE - the Intel link is not working right now, although it was fine just a coupe of days ago - so try this instead for the time being, for some others. (First link to Intel is the same as the one that is not working).]
[Update 2 - link is working again.]

Not sure how you found this, Mads, but it *is* great. As far as editing it for association use, I'd start with the Tech Section Council. If they're not in and you and Lindy want some help, just give me a shout.
Wish I'd seen these when I drafted ours! We're in the process of developing this same thing, which I modeled on IBM's social computing guidelines (http://www.ibm.com/blogs/zz/en/guidelines.html). I like Intel's format a lot better.
I'll be happy to share ours once they're finalized; basically they emphasize the existing policies that should be adhered to when using online social technologies (code of conduct, privacy, etc) and then touch on the same things Intel and IBM's do. They also address the whole "don't forget your day job" thing while acknowledging that some peoples' day jobs require them to maintain an online presence while at work, etc.
Again, I'll be happy to share or participate if anyone wants to try some wiki form of general social computing guidelines for associations.
Aha, I have my sources... :)
Maggie you're giving me the great idea to set this up on the Association Social Media Wiki, which Lindy and I are now in harge of. W00t!
Hi, I am interested in looking at Intel's social media guidelines, but the link no longer works! please can you repost or email me?
Richard - you're right, it's not working, and I have contacted them to find out if there's a new link. In the meantime I added an update with a link to another list (they also point to Intel and of course the link does not work from there either) - but there's some other good stuff on there.
