NTEN Water Cooler Chat 1/15

Last week, we discussed the volunteer experience (as in what do we want from our association volunteering?), as well as social media event management around cool conferences like the 09NTC, tech09, BIL (the free counterpart to TED), SXSW. We and our sweet crowd of regulars were joined by event socmed expert Chris Bucchere, (@bucchere), which was totally awesome, as well an old friend from university, Nigel Gourlay, who now lives in Qatar and has set up a daily news aggregator for his town of Doha. Coolness abounds! Geographic barriers? What geographic barriers? Hehe. We also discussed the fact that there are no kids movies that are actually appropriate for 3 year olds. I mean really. Name a Disney or Pixar movie that is not totally terrifying. Sleeping Beauty? Bambi? Dumbo? Peter Pan? Finding Nemo? Wall-E? No, you can't, can you.
